i have had this violin for 10 years. it says on the inside that it was handmade in germany. the number inside it is:54200.

Knilling made student grade violins for decades and I sold both Knillings and Roths back in the seventies. They are good instruments, generally not as good as Roth but perfectly fine to learn on.
